Energy from the cold
The LNG is a natural gasliquefied and maintained at a temperature of -160°C.
Through the liquefaction process, natural gas is purified of both the wet part and most other gases, a process that thus makes it pure.
LNG has a calorific value of around 13,000 Kcal/kg. A value that makes it one of the products with the highest energy value.
In its liquid state, LNG is lighter than water and in a gaseous state lighter than air. These characteristics make it a safe, clean and highly energetic product. In addition, its liquid form allows large quantities to be stored in relatively small spaces.
LNG is a product with a very low environmental impact; it contains no sulphur, no particulates, and emits very low amounts of carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxide during combustion.
LNG is odourless, colourless, non-toxic and non-corrosive.
Vulcanthrough commercial and industrial partnerships, is developing an advanced biomethane distribution system at its roadside service stations.
The biomethane represents a useful energy resource, which complements the use of fossil fuels and fuels by contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Biomethane is an element that contributes substantially to economic and industrial development in the region through the enhancement of industrial supply chains and the agriculture and agri-food sectors.
Thanks to their own LNG filling stations, Vulcan supports the strategic choices of transport companies towards a eco-sustainable logistics.
In addition to the refuelling corridor, Vulcan also offers the possibility of setting up private LNG refuelling systems directly at the logistics sites of customers with large fleets.
